Plot: This project was conceived as a singular project from the very start, rather than as a companion piece to a pre-existing album. Toyoda rounded up the composers and performers, went to Sado Island, spent the next month working on this project and returned with what is now known as Shiver. No doubt this process helped make it a more consistent experience.

Toyoda gets a little weird. He strips virtually all narrative elements and delivers a visual album/album film based on the unique collaboration between Koshiro Hino and the Kodo, Taiko Performing Arts Ensemble. Hauntingly rhythmic music combined with fitting visuals make for a riveting experience, but this isn't going to be for everyone.
