Steven Seagal isn't just an actor, he's also a director. Whether he's any good at these things is an entirely different matter. On Deadly Ground certainly fits his style of acting, so fans might be pretty happy with this film. I can't really stand Seagal, and so I wasn't too surprised when I didn't find much to like here. The setup of the film is simple, Seagal is a horrible actor, the dialogues are silly and the action is daft. The only good thing about this film was Caine, who plays a proper villain. Still, it's worst to watch until the end, because I think Seagal's final speech about the environment is one of the most misplaced things I've ever come across. Not good. Read all
