A proper rom-com, with a stronger focus on the romantic elements. The title already hints at the strong influence of fate in the plot (in other words, there are some pretty farfetched coincidences that drive the narrative). Keeping the genre in mind though, that's nothing to get too worked up about. Roberts and Mann are solid, the winter holiday setting is perfect and there are a few cute details that make the story a bit more interesting, even though you don't need to expect any big surprises. About Fate isn't a very remarkable film, but it's perfectly executed filler that is sure to please fans of the genre. Read all
