Pretty decent. The chemistry between Hepburn and Peppard is what makes this film tick, even though they're both not the most congenial of characters. The drama near the end is a bit overdone though, the more light-hearted start suited the film better. All in all not a bad watch, but far from perfect.
Like watching an older version of Mr. Bean. Peter Sellers plays an Indian guy (guess some people haven't found out about this film yet) who messes up just about everything he does. There are some decent bits here, but most of the jokes are way too obvious and predictable, killing the fun. If you think Sellers is a hoot then you'll love this film, if you think his physical comedy is rather basic then you better prepare for a repetitive film. The comedy is very one-note, the presentation is generic, and apart from a few inspired moments (like the ending), there's not much here that will stay with me.Read all
A more openly comedic entry in the Pink Panther series. I was quite on board with this being primarily a comedy, sadly, the comedy itself wasn't very funny. It's very old-fashioned slap-stick humor. Sellers does his best, but he can't save the film from coming off as very dusty and outdated. The murder mystery might appeal to people who care for that kind of thing, I'm used to ignoring all the guessing up front and just getting all the necessary info fed at the very end. It's just easier that way. This wasn't the worst of its kind, but I don't think I've laughed once, which is not great for a comedy.Read all
