A fun and quirky project by Adam Green. Found footage meets mockumentary, with Green and his team playing themselves. Add some horror legends, a madman who may or may not be telling the truth and some freakish monsters and you have all the ingredients for a fun horror flick. Green playing himself really was a smart move, casting Ray Wise opposite of him is also a stroke of genius. Green pokes some fun at himself and the found footage hype, but stays a little too true to the genre, which results in a somewhat tedious middle part. It picks up near the end again though, so fans of Green and/or horror films needn't worry. A neat twist on a formulaic film. Read all
