Plot: Hodaka is a runaway who made his way to Tokyo, hoping to start his new life there. Tokyo is an expensive place though and finding a job is hard without a student ID, luckily there are people who are willing to lend Hodaka a helping hand. Suga is running a small, independent publishing company and decides to give Hodaka a job, Hina is a young girl who finds herself in a similar situation as Hodaka and gives him the occasional supper. A little lighter on fantasy compared to Your Name, which isn't that bad really. The animation is stunning, the music (i.e. the J-Pop) an acquired taste and the budding romance pretty much expected. Weathering with You is another great Shinkai film, not his best work but fans won't be disappointed.
