Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark

An entertaining and skilfully made horror film that combines popular horror tropes with some inventive creature work and a good build-up of tension. With a young cast, some scary settings and a hefty budget director Øvredal made a horror flick that offers some very solid scares, but lacks that finishing touch to make it something truly special.
