Plot: Bi had a hard life growing up. Her mother was poor and sold herself to men in order to provide for Bi. One day one of her clients comes around when she's not home and he throws himself at Bi. The following scuffle escalates and both her mother as well as her assailant stay behind dead. Bi burns the evidence and moves to the big city, where she is found by a mysterious woman who heads a small gang. They try to stand up against the criminals that treat them like dirt.

Veronica Ngo, the lead of Fury, returns not only as an actor but also takes on this prequel's direction. A bold move, but one that paid off. Furies turned out to be a more striking, more colorful, and more spectacular action/revenge flick. The plot may be pretty basic, but who cares when the film looks this good? If it's flashy action and ass-kicking women you're after, then Furies is sure to deliver on that promise. Vietnam is showing some real promise. And the best thing?
