Utterly ridiculous. Deep Sea is a constant explosion of color and movement, a film that is proof that China is well on its way to establishing itself as one of the leading countries of animation. If Pixar had hired Masaaki Yuasa to direct a Miyazaki film, this could've been the outcome, only nothing can prepare you for the amount of dazzle that is packed inside these 110 minutes. It's not perfect, the comedy can be a little distracting and the score could've been improved, but every maximalist bone in my body was cheering for the amount of visual overload that is overflowing from every single frame. A true delight, I don't understand why I bumped into this by sheer accident, this deserves to be a full-on mondial hype.
