Plot: After fleeing the farm, Ginger finally has the life she always wanted. It gets even better when she has a little chick called Molly. Everything seems perfect, but Molly grows up and wants to explore the world. Ginger is afraid she might get caught and forbids Molly to leave the island they're on. But Molly can't be stopped.

Did we need a second Chicken Run? Based on the generic plot (another one featuring overprotective parents) I would think this film was made with other ideals in mind. I quite liked the first one, but somehow I wasn't too excited for this sequel, and sure enough, the spark wasn't there.
I still appreciated the stop-motion animation, Aardvark is one of the best in the business. The voice cast is fun too (a nice selection of British actors), but the plot is bland and the comedy is a little dusty. It's just a rehash of the first film, with the same core characters. Not the worst, but an unnecessary sequel nonetheless.
